Dead Puppet Society Victor Blott - A Desire to Rot

Straight off the back of his world tour, renowned performer Victor Blott makes his Australian premier with a one night only performance in which he will kill himself.
His robes are freshly pressed. His weapon of choice, a dagger, awaits him on a velvet pedestal. All is set.
There is, however, a slight problem. The piano player whose music is to accompany Mr. Blott's imminent death has trouble staying focussed on the performance at hand. The indolent musician begins to interrupt Mr. Blott's ritual, forcing this esteemed artist to take some serious measures.
Victor Blott was presented in the 2009 Short+Sweet Festival at the Brisbane Powerhouse and received the following awards: Best Comedy, Peoples' Choice Award (voted by audiences), and The Short+Sweet Award for Best Overall Production (Judges Choice).
Directed by Elizabeth Millington, Performed by David Morton and Benjamin Schostakowski, Produced by Nicholas Paine and Natasha-Rose Pizzica.
Up-slide Down
Written and performed by Allen laverty and Nick Cilento
Up-slide Down is the story of two unlikely boys who meet at school and become life long friends. One boy eats cabbage and likes it, the other eats ice cream. Our show uses elements of Clown, Circus and Theatre along with some of the skills gained from our Commedia training with Tony. This is why we are so glad to be part of the 2010 Australasian Commedia dell’Arte Festival.
Up-slide Down is a kernel of an idea that began a number of years ago when two men met at the Angrymime Summer School (2002), hosted by Tony Kashawi and co. From there, and a variety of performances at the Angrymime, our show began to take shape.

Cafe Floriani Lightwire's own Commedia troupe
Written and directed by Tony Kishawi
Performed by Clint Bolster, Ben Cornfoot and Brin Pritchard.

Cafe Floriani explores ageless concepts of commerce, competition and greed. The performance encompasses a number of masked characters interacting and demonstrating the movement skills and joy required to capture the traditional characters and Commedia scenarios.
Synopsis-
Cafe Floriani explores ageless concepts of commerce,
competition and
greed. The performance encompasses a number of masked characters
interacting and demonstrating the movement skills and joy required to
capture the traditional characters and Commedia scenarios. Cafe
Floriani has been refined and produced for the High School audience as
a demonstrative performance specialising in teaching the characters and
interactions of Commedia del'Arte.
The actors are aware of their audience and hope to accurately convey the traditional characters including stance, movement and behaviors during the performance. One of the reasons Cafe Floriani has been so successful year after year is that teachers recognise the performance as an excellent example of Commedia that gives the student an immediate understanding of the characters and confidence to create for themselves. They are able to see the historical texts that have studied come to life and be demonstrated clearly.
